How to measure a corner sofa

The simple guide to measuring a corner sofa

Before you start (2 minutes)

Paper, a tape measure, a pencil. Note the doors, radiators, and sockets. That is it.

Step 1: Choose your side

Look at the sofa from the front. The part that extends (the chaise) tells you: on your left means a left corner, on your right means a right corner.

Step 2: Measure your space

  • Wall 1 length: ____ cm
  • Wall 2 length: ____ cm
  • Leave a 10 cm gap from the wall.
  • Note any obstacles (door, radiator, column).

Step 3: Check the sofa size

  • Long part (the back): ____ cm
  • Side, the chaise: ____ cm
  • Depth: ____ cm · Height: ____ cm

Step 4: Comfortable clearances

  • Sofa to coffee table: 35 to 45 cm
  • Walkway to pass through: 80 cm or more

Step 5: Will it get into the house?

Measure the doors, the stairs, and the lift (width by height). If it is tight, ask us about a modular option or removable legs and arms.

Quick size guide

  • Small living room: up to 250 to 260 cm
  • Medium: 260 to 300 cm
  • Large: 300 cm and up

Common mistakes

  • Getting the side wrong (judging while looking at the sofa).
  • Not measuring doors and the lift.
  • Crowding the coffee table (keep 35 to 45 cm).

Your notes
